Now Mac users can have Microsoft Visual Studio

Microsoft has introduced Visual Studio for Mac at the Connect() conference on November 16, as it’s aiming to empower Apple customers with the same coding tools as their Windows colleagues.

Visual Studio for Mac is a developer environment optimized for building mobile and cloud apps with Xamarin and .NET. It is a one-stop shop for .NET development on the Mac, including Android, iOS, and .NET Core technologies. Sporting a native user interface, Visual Studio for Mac integrates all of the tools you need to create, debug, test, and publish mobile and server applications without compromise, including state of the art APIs and UI designers for Android and iOS.

Both C# and F# are supported out of the box and our project templates provide developers with a skeleton that embodies the best practices to share code across mobile front ends and your backend. Our new Connected Application template gives you both your Android and iOS front ends, as well as its complementary .NET Core-powered backend.

Mobile and tablet internet usage exceeds desktop for first time worldwide - StatCounter

They say it’s one of the saddest moments in a person’s life when their child can beat them at a game for the first time, and the desktop computer just had its own electronic version of that distressing experience. October 2016 was the month smartphones and tablet web browsing finally took the lead: 51.3% to 48.7%.

“This should be a wake up call especially for small businesses, sole traders and professionals to make sure that their websites are mobile friendly. Many older websites are not,” commented Aodhan Cullen, CEO, StatCounter.

“Mobile compatibility is increasingly important not just because of growing traffic but because Google favours mobile friendly websites for its mobile search results.” He pointed out that Google recently launched a tool where businesses can test their website mobile performance.

StatCounter’s core business is to provide companies, agencies, bloggers, self-employed and charities with data to measure activity on their website, blog or forum. Key features include a free option, ease of use, independence and ability to view individual visitors in real time.

Pixel: A Google Smartphone

Pixel is the latest addition to the Google's Smartphone List. There are actually two Pixels: the regular 5-inch screen version and a larger 5.5-inch version called the Pixel XL. They are identical in every respect except for the size of their batteries, the resolution of their screens, and, of course, their prices: the spectrum ranges from $649 for a 32GB Pixel and goes all the way up to $869 for a 128GB Pixel XL.

For past few years Google had Nexus Phones, now they have moved to the Pixel which is manufactured by HTC but designed by Google to compete at the top tier, so it's priced to match the iPhone and the Galaxy S7.
Pixel kind of looks like an iPhone. Every high-end phone these days is designed with some combination of metal and glass. The biggest design element is the glass shade that replaces the metal on the top third of the back of the phone.Google puts the fingerprint sensor on the back.It fast charges via USB-C and there's only one speaker — at the bottom. Luckily, it's a pretty loud, decent speaker and there is, of course, a headphone jack on the top.
Both Pixel variants have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, 4 gigs of RAM, and flat-out gorgeous OLED screens with deep blacks and vibrant, punchy colors. The Pixels are fast — noticeably faster than Samsung's Galaxy S7. On performance alone, these are easily the best Android phones you can buy.
Pixel's Battery lasts a couple of hours longer than comparably sized iPhones or Nexuses. The camera on the back is 12.3 megapixels with an f2.0 lens and two ways to focus: phase detect and laser auto focus. It has a two-tone flash, too, but unfortunately no optical image stabilization.

Android update for Nougat is 7.1 Build NDE63B

Google released the stable version of its latest operating system not long ago and rumors on the upcoming version have already surfaced. Android 7.0 Nougat didn’t come with some of the most anticipated features, like the Nexus Launcher and Google Assistant. A new leak seems to suggest that the upcoming Nougat update will be named Android 7.1 build NDE63B.

Google's Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones will most likely release the NDE63B build carrying the Android 7.1 Nougat update Since rumors say that the Pixel and Pixel XL are set to be unveiled on October 4, it’s highly likely that factory images and release updates will be provided around the same date, but only to some Nexus smartphones. Owners of other brands of phones would have to wait until developers adjust the new OS version and make it available to them, and this could take up to a few months.
Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones are certainly exciting, especially since the devices are said to come with Sony-branded front and back shooters. Pixel XL should feature a Sony IMX378 sensor on the back, the same as on the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X. Front camera capacity could reach 8MP with Sony IMX179 sensor, found on the rear camera of the Nexus 5 from 2013.
