South Korean mobile phone maker
Samsung Electronics will make official its next handset in the popular Galaxy lineup, expected to arrive on shelves as the flagship Galaxy S IV. Some of the rumored specs of the device, starting with the new 8-core Exynos 5410 processor clocked in at 1.8GHz (though some suggest that a Snapdragon 600 CPU might be included in the device in some markets).

The handset is also said to sport 2GB of RAM, 16GB / 32GB / 64GB of internal memory, with a microSD memory card slot to allow for further storage expansion.
On the front, there should be a 5-inch full HD screen that will also offer support for floating touch, paired with a 2.1MP camera.
A 13-megapixel photo snapper on the back should provide users with an appealing imaging experience, as well as with full HD video recording capabilities.

On top of that, the phone is expected to sport eye-tracking features, so that users would be able to scroll web pages without even touching the device.Furthermore, it was said to include
SwiftKey's predictive technology and to be able to shoot with both front and back cameras at the same time.

It appears that there's nothing
left for Samsung to announce, except maybe for the phone's design, availability and pricing.The launch will take place in New York,
at an event set to be streamed live in Times Square, where Samsung has been teasing the device for the past week or so.

Microsoft has officially launched the final version of Internet Explorer for Windows 7, the latest build of its in-house browser previously available on Windows 8 exclusively.

While Microsoft is yet to publicly announce the release, the download links have been published on Microsoft's webpage, allowing users to download IE10 for either the x64 or x86 versions of Windows 7.There are no release notes for the final build, but it's obviously supposed to fix all bugs and issues reported in the preview version, while also providing a full-featured browsing experience.

The browser is available in a wide variety of languages and can be downloaded and installed at absolutely no cost, as long as your Windows 7 copy is activated.

Apple iPhone 4S beats Samsung Galaxy S III in sales.

Apple iPhone 4S has beaten Samsung Galaxy S III, which was launched over six months later, in worldwide sales in the fourth quarter of last year. According to a report by research Strategy Analytics, iPhone 5 and iPhone 4S took the top two spots in sales list, while Galaxy S III grabbed the third place.
iPhone 4S, which was launched in
October 2011, sold 17.4 million units,
whereas Galaxy S III, rolled out in May
2012, clocked 15.4 million. While the
former took 8% of the market share in
the period, the latter accounted for 7.1%
. In the last quarter of 2012, iPhone 5
clocked 27.4 million in worldwide sales
or 12.6% of the market. The
smartphone, which hit the stores in
September, sold 6 million units in the
third quarter. The three smartphones
together took up 27.7% of the market,
as compared to 23.3% in the preceding
quarter.
According to Strategy Analytics, all
others smartphones notched up 156.8
million in sales volume during the same
period, as compared to 132.6 million
units in the July to September quarter.
Smartphone sales rose across the world to 217 million units in the October to December period, as compared to 172.8 million in the previous quarter.
